I live with my husband, Chris, and our goofy (and very large) American Bully, Enzo.
I am a balance of many things: I grew up on a cattle ranch in rural Alberta, and now I reside in the city. I consider myself playful, but I am also deep down a full-blown nerd. I like to be active and social by day, and a snack-eating, Netflix-watching/Book-reading goblin by evening. I could never consider myself a cat or a dog person- why can’t you be both?
To me, therapy is all about emulating this pursuit of balance in session. Two things can be true at once- we can be powerfully self-accepting, and work towards personal goals that we set out for ourselves. Healing can be both challenging and joyful. As a trained play therapist, and I believe versions of play can be used in most sessions. Play looks like many things to different people- it could be telling me about your favorite reality TV show, wanting to bring in yoga or movement into session, and taking time to laugh and feel joy, even amid profound healing.

Other Ways To Get To Know Me:
My “Go-To” Therapy Models
I feel I was blessed to feel called to being a therapist at a young age. I attended the University of Lethbridge for both my bachelor’s in psychology, and Master of Education (Counselling Psychology).
During my post-secondary education, I worked with children and teens with various developmental and intellectual disabilities, and this solidified my passion with working with kids, teens, and the people who raise them.
I have found working in psychology to be intellectually stimulating, inspiring, and challenging (in all the best ways!) I feel the ongoing desire to expand my learning and understandings. My counselling approach integrates my education of evidence-based approaches with a warm and laid-back vibe for my clients- I want my clients to feel relaxed, supported, and seen in my counselling room.
