Nicole Mullen (she/her)
I live in Calgary, Alberta, with my husband Nathan, son Wells, and dog Marty. I thrive on quality time with loved ones, nurturing my plant collection, beachside retreats, singing, and envisioning DIY home projects (that I know I will never actually start!). People describe me as dependable, caring, and outgoing. In particular, my journey into motherhood has taught me valuable lessons in flexibility, boundary-setting, and embracing chaos while learning to seek support when needed.
My background in social work, predominantly within hospital settings, has deepened my appreciation for resilience and strength in adversity. Guided by a laid-back, supportive, and collaborative approach, I am driven to walk alongside individuals during their toughest times and foster their innate resilience.

My “Go-To” Therapy Models
I have a diploma in Social Work from Mount Royal University. I obtained my Bachelors Degree in Social Work and Masters of Social Work with Clinical Specialization at the University of Calgary. I have always been interested in health care and knew that I wanted to work in the hospital setting from a young age. After obtaining my Bachelors Degree I started working in health care in the areas of maternity and women’s health. During my Masters I focused on counselling with youth, families and individuals. Once my Masters was complete I went back into health care and have worked in all areas with a large variety of populations.
My passion is working with individuals and their families with those that are living with chronic and life limiting illness and in women’s health. In the last five years of my career I worked with patient’s and families who are facing Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), palliation, and working in the Intensive Care Unit.
As I continue to grow and change as a practitioner, I moved toward working with clients on a long-term basis versus just during their hospital stay. I love learning and I am dedicated to continuing to provide up to date and evidence-based interventions during our work together. I can support those with a variety of concerns and hope that we can work together to reach your goals.

THERAPY SHOULD FEEL LIKE:
Sitting in a cozy cafe with your brain, sipping on insights instead of lattes while occasionally dunking your biscotti into self-discovery and self worth.
